Educator Highlight: Azuree Williams, Bermuda

“I absolutely love what I do!”

Azuree Williams from Bermuda has been a Know Your Lemons Global Educator since January of 2020 and has taught over 250 people! The reason for her success is her love for teaching about health. Azuree works at the Bermuda Cancer and Health Center (the ONLY cancer center on her island) as a program manager. As program manager she is responsible for the development and implementation of all their education programs. So naturally, when her team discovered our Volunteer Educator Program “everyone agreed this would be an amazing resource to add to their free education programs.”

Azuree typically teaches in person, at corporate lunch-and-learns, small community groups such as clubs, and churches, and even in high schools! Azuree says she is motivated to educate because she is simply “committed to being an advocate, sharing the colorful, palatable information from Know Your Lemons, learning so much from community outreach, and assisting with “close the care gap”. I absolutely love what I do!”

Azuree is proud to be an Educator and could reach more people through the help of your donations. To continue the efforts of this devoted volunteer please visit our donation page.

Transcription: Hi there! I’m Azuree, and I have been a Lemonista or a Know Your Lemons Global Educator since 2019. I live in Bermuda and Bermuda Cancer and Health Center is the place where I work and we actually stumbled across the Know Your Lemons program as we are responsible for educating the community on breast health as well as many other cancers but focusing on breast health was something we wanted to dive deeper into and the Know Your Lemons program is a brilliant and bold and colorful way to get the message out there to women and their partners, their family members. It is a global effort and I am happy to be part of the Know Your Lemons global community.
